Preferred Family Clinic is not only committed to providing meaningful mental health services, but also to training competent, effective mental health professionals. Therefore, we have a number of interns that offer services under the direct supervision of licensed mental health providers. All are in advanced stages of their training and therefore are well-equipped to help deal with even the most difficult cases.

Richard Tripp, CPCI, Counseling Psychology Intern

· Received a master’s degree in professional counseling from the University of Utah

· Specializes in couples counseling, issues related to sexuality including addiction and sexual dysfunction

Laura Morris, CPCI, Counseling Psychology Intern

· Received a master’s degree in professional counseling from the University of Phoenix

· Specializes in working with women, couples and families in marriage counseling, body-image, and self-esteem issues.

Larene Smart, BS, Clinical Psychology Extern

· Pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology at Brigham Young University

· Specializes in working with children and adolescents and testing services

James VanDyke, BS, Clinical Psychology Intern

· Pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology at Brigham Young University

· Specializes in counseling services with individuals of all ages
