SERVICES AND ESTIMATES

OUR SERVICES

The first appointment in psychotherapy consists of a clinical interview. Our therapists use this format to gain information about the patient and to formulate the most effective treatment plan for them. If a child is the primary patient, most of the first visit is spent interviewing the child’s parent or guardian. The first visit is also a very good time for patients to ask their therapist any questions they may have at the outset of treatment.

PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING

Evaluation and Sessions

Our therapists offer different options for treatment including Dialectical behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), virtual and in person appointments, and more.
They are all individually contracted providers on several different insurance panels. We ask that our clients call their insurance company to know how much they will be held responsible for.
The initial evaluation is billed at $250. Each session after that is billed at $180. We offer discounted self-pay prices.

Personality, Behavioral, Achievement

Psychological testing is used for a number of purposes including treatment planning, diagnostic clarification, pre-employment screening, evaluation of cognitive functioning, etc. Testing typically involves interviews, completion of questionnaires, and tests administered by a clinician. The type and number of tests used depends on the referral question that is being investigated. Typically, psychological testing begins with a clinical interview in which the individual being tested is able to explain their symptoms or life circumstances. The next step is administration of a battery of tests designed to answer the specific question of why the person was referred. Following completion of the testing, the results are analyzed and written into a report. For many evaluations, a feedback session where the results are explained is included.

ADOPTION

Diagnosing Autism

Testing for autism involves interviews, completion of questionnaires, and tests administered by a clinician. The type and number of tests used depends on the individual needs of the patient. Autism assessment begins with a clinical interview in which the individual being tested or their parent/guardian is able to explain their symptoms or life circumstances. The next step is administration of a battery of tests designed to find the causes of the individual’s struggles (whether these are due to autism and/or another disorder) and understand the impact these symptoms have in their daily life.  Following completion of the testing, the results are analyzed and written into a report. For many evaluations, a feedback session where the results are explained is included. For pricing estimates or to be added to our waiting list, please call our office.

Adoption Evaluations

Adoption agencies require psychological evaluations for each prospective parent. A full evaluation consists of a few things including the clinical interview for each prospective parent, self taken tests, and possibly some tests administered by the clinician. A report based on the test results and any forms provided by the adoption agency will be submitted no sooner than 3 weeks after the completion of all required assessments. The process can differ based on the requirements of the individual adoption agency.
Adoption evaluations are not billed to insurance. The estimated price is $2500 for two people. For more details or to get scheduled please call our office.
