Alec and his wife have five children and two grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, hiking, discovering new, local fare, reading, film and live theater. His education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian Literature and History from BYU (1995), a Master degree in Education from Southern Utah University (1999) and a Master degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Phoenix (2017).
